The Milton Keynes GuruIf you have a question that is related to Milton Keynes in some way, ask the guru and he will reply!

The guru's identity is shrouded in mystery, in some quarters he is thought to be older than all members of Miton Keynes Council put together. We have asked him about his age but his response..."this is of no Milton Keynes consequence".

Please feel free to ask just about anything, as long as it is at least loosely connected to something within Milton Keynes. We will try to publish all questions and answers, to ask the Guru your own question, please fill in the form below...

Your Questions and Answers:

Q:
I'm going to Milton Keynes from Birmingham. how do i go to the shopping centre from the train station and back?
Helena

A:
Hi Helena, If you head in a straight line from the main doors of the Train Station, Midsummer place (the new part of the shopping centre) is less then a mile walk away. Directly straight ahead, along Midsummer Boulevard.

There are regular buses from Milton Keynes Central Station which stop at the shopping centre, a good stop is The Point which is just outside Midsummer Place. Click Here for our bus timetables page which should help you plan exactly which buses to catch.

The other option is taking a taxi, and with the distance being under a mile this should be minimum fair for most taxi companies in Milton Keynes (roughly around £3). Click here for our page which lists a range of local taxi numbers.

Q: how far is the national bowl from milton keynes central station? i am attending linkin park concert on sunday and want to know the way and are taxis available outside?
Lianne

A: Namaste Lianne, From Milton Keynes central railway station exit right and walk for 50 metres and then turn right on to a footbridge over the railway line. This is a pedestrian cycleway redway system 'Leisure Route 51' and a 25-30 minute (just over 1 mile) signposted walk to the Bowl. Taxis are available outside the train station, visit our milton keynes taxis page for a range of local taxi companies.
